Classy gelding from a stable of the same ilk. Proven weight carrier with real winter warrior form in all conditions of late and fitness no issue.

Hardly put a foot wrong last prep in reach deep type of races. Resumes with a fat first up record (5:2-1-0) and has placed in both heavy track contests. Drawn east of Goulburn though.

3. WAR ETERNAL (1) (Bjorn Baker / Jason Collett) TAB -$4.20 F
Arrives here in peak playing shape fourth up after a determined Rosehill win last Saturday. Also gets double ticks finding his pet trip and a heavy track that he relishes. Raced in the Winx Stakes on Saturday.

Early campaign horse who dug deep in winning first up at Rosehill. One from one on a heavy surface and will be breathing clean country air early doors from up on the speed.

6. FLYING BANDIT (12) (Kerry Parker / Jay Ford) TAB - $15.00
Progressive galloper with a winning strike rate of 46% from thirteen starts. Carries four kilos more than his Wagga Cup win in May but recent trial oozed class. Staying type who can carry this off first up.

7. WOOTTON VERNI (4) (Chris Waller / Kerrin McEvoy) TAB- $7.00
Talented import who should have acclimatised fully now to Aussie oats. In good hands and close-up in both recent trials. Ideally drawn for a horse who should be running on late.

Carries three kilos less than his brave effort in this race last year but recent form suggests he has work to do.

Well short of his best in two recent runs but is undefeated in two heavy track contests. Could easily bounce back at a price.

11. SUN’N’SAND (16) (Joseph-Jones / Alysha Collett) TAB - $16.00
Ran out of her skin in two group races before a spell and rocks up here with an appealing scales report. Weather of late says no to the name but form trajectory is a firm yes.

12. SUPER HELPFUL (10) (Joseph-Jones / Jeff Penza) TAB - $71.00
Versatile middle-distance galloper well below par in two runs back from a spell. Nowra Cup winner last campaign and a three-time winner on a heavy track.

13. FLYING CRAZY (17) (Jake Hull) TAB - $51.00
Has been wintering up North but no welcome back vibes with the widest possible draw. Could be spotting them too big a big start.

Strong strike rate horse whose best from is on drier tracks. Won’t know himself though with a nice drop in the weights.

Super honest customer who earns a six kilo drop in the weights for the class rise. Boxed on big-time first up and rarely has on off day.

Lightly raced four-year old who went from a ‘win’ to ‘what the’ in a small field last start. Much better than that and must keep safe.

Country trained with a prolific strike rate. Finds a huge weight drop and proven in wet ground. Second up specialist adding value to everything.

Rowdy type who’s won three of his past four in Friday afternoon drinks company, but this is more Saturday night fever. In career best form but needs to go to another level.

Locally trained mare mixing form of late. Recent country grade run had merit but tackles a much tougher task here.
