Gangotena And Gorrel Strike A Treble At Grenfell Picnics

Jockey Anaelle Gangotena and trainer Doug Gorrel took the honours with a winning treble at last weekend's Grenfell picnic races.

They combined to take out the Railway Hotel Grenfell Picnic Bracelet (1000m) with Sestina ($2.30) before winning the following event, the Allen & Flachs Families Sweet Lauraine Trophy (1200m), with Georgian Court ($1.80 favourite).

Two races later the Gangotena-Gorrel combination struck again by taking out the feature event, the Lane Cove Legends Grenfell Picnic Cup (1400m) with $3 favourite Would Be King.

Valadyium continues to lead the NSW Picnic Champion Series point score on 30 points from Gossip (26pts) and Call Me Trinity (25pts). The next round of the NSW Picnic Champion Series is the Back O'Bourke race meeting on Easter Sunday.
