The funeral for picnic jockey and track work rider Samara Johnson will be held at 11am on Tuesday 19th December at Toompang Racecourse, Young.

Samara's family has asked that in lieu of flowers people donate to the National Jockeys Trust www.njt.org.au

Mourners are encouraged to wear jeans and boots on the day as well as something purple, which was Samara's favourite colour.

Samara lost her life in a car accident at Eurongilly on Sunday, 3rd December. Her partner and Canberra trainer, Garry Kirkup, was seriously injured in the accident and remains in hospital.
