Employment Opportunity - Trackwork Supervisor (Muswellbrook)

Muswellbrook Race Club in the beautiful Hunter Valley of NSW is searching for a part-time Trackwork Supervisor.

($29.30 per hour + penalty rates): Thursday - Saturday

20 hours per week (with potential for additional grounds work/gardening hours)

The main purpose for this role is:

  • To supervise the Thoroughbred training activities and oversee the implementation of the Club’s policies and procedures
  • To maintain accurate records of usage
  • To report any necessary repairs and maintenance to the Track Manager
  • To ensure that all duties as outlined are performed with respect to safe working practices in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW)

Hours are 4.30am – 9.30am (plus additional grounds work).

Requirements:

Punctuality is imperative

  • Must have ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • A sufficient level of knowledge on potential horse behaviour
  • Current First Aid Certificate (preferable)
  • Current driver's licence essential
  • Strong and clear communication skills required
