Employment Opportunity - General Manager (Tamworth Jockey Club)

The Tamworth Jockey Club and Function Centre is currently seeking applications for the position of General Manager.

Tamworth JC is one of the leading Country NSW Race Clubs, conducting 20 thoroughbred race meetings each year as well as hosting a variety of functions and corporate and social events at the racecourse.

The General Manager position incorporates responsibility for all aspects of the club’s operations, leading the club’s management team and developing Community, stakeholder, and industry participant relationships.

The key responsibilities extend to:
• Business planning and development
• Community, membership, stakeholder and industry participant relationship management
• Budget preparation, financial analysis and reporting, project management, strategic planning, marketing, legislative compliance and reporting
• Race day event management, sales and marketing.

The role will include working with the Racing Industry Governing Body and the Corporate Governance structure of the club to further develop and implement the club’s strategic plan.

The successful applicant will need to possess extensive leadership, communication, organisational, financial and management skills.
