Finance & Administration Officer - Racing NSW Country
Location: Sydney CBD
Employment Type: Full-time (Office-based only – no flexible or remote arrangements)
Reports to: Executive Officer – Racing NSW Country
About the Role
Racing NSW Country is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Administration Officer to support the management of country race clubs across New South Wales.
Based at Racing NSW’s Sydney CBD office, this role is suited to a professional with strong accounting knowledge and excellent administrative skills who enjoys working collaboratively in a small team environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and review financial performance at both Race Club and Racing NSW Country levels
• Analyse and interpret Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets
• Assist in preparing budgets, reconciliations and management reports
• Provide administrative and financial support to the Executive Officer
• Liaise with country race clubs to ensure financial compliance and accuracy
• Maintain accurate databases, records and correspondence
Key Requirements
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Proven ability to interpret P&L statements and Balance Sheets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Understanding of thoroughbred racing concepts and terminology (desirable)
Additional Information
This is a full-time, office-based role located at Racing NSW’s Sydney headquarters. Flexible or remote working arrangements are not available.
