GENERAL MANAGER
Dubbo Turf Club invites applications for the role of General Manager, overseeing one of the Central Districts Racing Association’s premier racing and events venues.

About the Role
As General Manager-Dubbo Turf Club, you will be responsible for the effective day-to-day and strategic management of the Club. This includes raceday coordination, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement, marketing and ensuring the Club remains compliant with racing industry standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a motivated, community-minded individual who thrives on delivering high-quality events and driving sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and manage all raceday and non-raceday events, including sales, promotions and customer service
• Develop and implement business plans focused on growth, community engagement and long-term sustainability
• Manage financial operations including budgeting, reporting and regulatory compliance
• Build strong relationships with sponsors, local businesses, industry bodies and community stakeholders
• Oversee marketing strategies to boost club visibility and event attendance
• Support maintenance and facility standards in collaboration with the Racecourse Manager
• Lead and motivate a small team, fostering a culture of professionalism and service excellence
• Pursue sponsorships and grant funding opportunities for capital works and special projects
• Champion workplace safety, ethical standards and environmental sustainability initiatives
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
• Proven leadership experience in business administration, event management or a similar field
• Tertiary qualifications in business, management or a related discipline (desirable)
• Strong financial acumen and demonstrated success in budgeting and revenue generation
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Ability to think strategically, manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes
• Experience in marketing, sponsorship acquisition and community engagement
• A track record in leading successful teams and capital projects is highly regarded

PARTNERSHIP MANAGER
Dubbo Turf Club is looking for an dynamic and well-rounded person to join our team as Partnership Manager, overseeing the Club’s burgeoning membership, sponsorship and events portfolios.
Working within our award-winning team, the Partnership Manager will report to the General Manager and oversee the Club’s burgeoning sponsorship, membership and events portfolios.
The role will include:
• Plan and manage all raceday hospitality events and non-raceday events
• Oversight of membership and sponsorship relations, including commitment to continued growth in both areas
• Oversight and continued development of owners’ raceday experience
• Build and foster strong community relationships with stakeholders
• Assist with marketing strategies to boost with Club visibility and event attendance
• Assist with budget development and administration functions for events and raceday hospitality
• Management and rostering of hospitality staff
• Stock procurement and management, including stocktake, audits and management of supplier relations
• Management of current and future sponsors, members and The Derby Club members
The successful applicant will possess the following key attributes:
• Proven experience in customer relations, stakeholder management, hospitality or similar field
• Strong work ethic and commitment to performance
• Personable, well-presented and stakeholder focused
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation or ability to obtain
• Hospitality experience desired but not essential
• Commitment to ensuring the continued growth of the Club’s sponsorship, membership and events portfolios
• Ability to work as a member of a small team, but also autonomously
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work nights and weekends on a roster
