Cabbage Not Cardboard On Offer At Goulburn (Friday)

Home track horses could easily deliver more 'cabbage than cardboard' to punters at Goulburn on Friday.

The locals have serious representation across the eight-race card, holding almost 30% of the more than 100 acceptors.

Punters were on the ball at Goulburn's most recent meeting as plenty of well supported gallopers rocketed home to win.

In the thick of it were local trainers who took bragging rights winning three of seven races.

The spoils being shared amongst Scott Collings (Master Joe), Danielle Seib (Charlemagne) and Tim Martin (Miss Thatcher).

Goulburn's eight race card on Friday looks an out and out competitive affair with wide open markets all the rage in the early assessments.

Punters should be able to find value wherever they look and in TAB markets the locals can strike early anointing Jalmari, the $3.10 favourite in Race 1 (Danny Williams/Nick Heywood) and Flying Flossy $2.90 favourite (Tash Burleigh/Richard Bensley) top elect in Race 2.

The Goulburn Good Oil sides with: Race 2 - No. 7 Quizy ($3.60)and Race 8 - No.4 Trooper Knuckle ($4.60).

Goulburn's track is currently rated a Good 4 with Race 1 on Friday due to go at 12.10pm.
