Blinkin Fast Horse Chasing Third Straight Win At Scone

By Heath Courtney

Blinkin Fast ($5 equal favourite on TAB fixed odds) will look to extend his picket fence of recent wins for connections when contesting the very competitive Arrowfield Benchmark 66 (1600m) event at Scone Monday.

The Smart Missile gelding returns to Scone following his latest win against in-form Country Championships aspirants, Anchois and Valree.

Sue Grills's galloper finds an equally as competitive race here with six other runners in the 14-horse field winning in their last two starts plus many other multiple last start placegetters.

This is, without doubt, the strongest 1600m event held at Scone outside of their May Carnival with in-form gallopers from highly respected stables such as Kris Lees, Bjorn Baker, Paul Messara, Brett Cavanough, Paul Perry, Cameron Crockett and Stirling Osland all contesting the time-honoured Scone mile.

The Scone surface is currently rated a Good 4 with the first of 7 races commencing at 1:45pm. The rail is out 5m from the 800m to the winning post, and out 3m the remainder.
