Applications For Positions Of Independent Directors (Port Macquarie) - Closes TODAY!!

Port Macquarie Race Club Limited (PMRC) and Racing NSW are seeking applications to fill four (4) independent Director positions.

This is an exciting opportunity for interested applicants. Port Macquarie Race Club is a prominent NSW Thoroughbred race club located on the Mid North Coast which hosts approximately 20 race meetings per year.

The reconstruction of PMRC’s Course Proper was finished in September 2024 and now provides a premium all-weather racing surface to meet the current and future needs of PMRC and the surrounding region.

For the first time since 2019, PMRC will host the $150,000 Evergreen Turf MCNRA Country Championship Qualifier on Sunday, 16 February 2025 with other feature race meetings including the $200,000 Port Macquarie Cup, held annually in October.

The Independent Directors are selected by Racing NSW after consideration of the recommendations of a Selection Panel, having regard to skills and experience that will augment, bolster or complement the skills and experience of the sitting Elected Directors.

People experienced and qualified in law, accounting, business management, commerce, construction, marketing and event management or other key business skills are encouraged to apply.

It is important that Independent Directors are free from any business or other relationship that could materially interfere (or could reasonably be perceived to materially interfere) with the independent exercise of that director’s judgment.

Applications are invited from candidates residing in the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area (or who will at the time of appointment reside in the local government area) by way of application forms, covering letter and Curriculum Vitae.

Application forms may be downloaded at PMRC Independent Directors Feb 25

Application forms are also accessible from Corey Cox, Racing NSW Legal Counsel on 02 9551 7500 or via clubdirectors@racingnsw.com.au

Applications must be received by 5pm on Friday, 7 March 2025 and submitted by email to clubdirectors@racingnsw.com.au or by post to Racing NSW Level 7, 51 Druitt St, Sydney NSW 2000.
