Anna Roper shares the Rising Star Series lead after taking out Heat 2 at Port Macquarie today with a dashing front-running ride.

Roper took victory with Da Nang Star for trainer Sara Ryan, leading all the way on the five-year-old gelding in the 1500m race, finishing ahead of Jasper Franklin on Rockbarton Ruby, and Dylan Gibbons who rode third placegetter Mauricently.

Anna Roper, with a total of 7 points, joins Shayleigh Ingelse as joint series leaders. Franklin moved into third place on 6 points and Cassey Williams has 5 points from the first heat.

Scone will host Heat 3 of the Rising Star Series on Monday November 14th.
