Blinkin Snazzy Ready To Go One Better At Wauchope (Sunday)

By Mark Brassel

Will it be a case of third time lucky for Blinkin Snazzy when she tackles the Hastings Co-Op Woop Woop Cup (1800m) at Wauchope on Boxing Day?

The 95-start veteran finished third to Dangerous Dan in the 2019 edition and was runner-up to Rival Mo in last year's Cup.

The seven-year-old showed she is hitting form at the right time when a last-start third to Fior the Tiger at Coffs Harbour (1615m), making up a stack of ground in the run home to be beaten just over a length.

The Hastings Co-Op Woop Woop Cup on display

Other entries for the Cup include last-start Tamworth winner Sippity Sup, recent Ballina winner Praeferox and the consistent front-runner Mosh Vain.

Wauchope Jockey Club's President, Les Latimore, said: "Our Club is expecting a sizeable crowd with the weather forecast good.

“The course is in excellent order and the patrons’ area now has an additional food and beverage outlet with a new van.

“There will be a Fashions on the Field competition for both men and women, so patrons should come along and enjoy a great day’s racing and continue to celebrate the festive season.

"We also express our sincere thanks to sponsors Hastings Co-op (major sponsor), M & S Print, H.L.W. Projects, McCulloch Agencies and Inland 4WD.

"Each of these businesses have generously sponsored a race on the card with Hastings Co-op putting their name on the Cup."
