Get Along To Sapphire Coast's Big Two-Day Carnival (Sat 30th & Sun 31st Jan)

The beautiful Sapphire Coast beckons later this month with more than $500,000 in prizemoney on offer over two big days of horse racing action.

The two-day Bega Cheese Cup Carnival kicks off with a seven-race card on Saturday 30th January with gates opening at 12:30pm and following the meeting, there'll be a Saturday Night Calcutta at Club Sapphire, Merimbula with the draw commencing at 8pm and tickets will be on sale during the night.

Then to the big one on Sunday 31st January with the staging of the Country Showcase Raceday featuring the $80,000 Bega Cheese Bega Cup over 1600m and the $50,000 Bega Showcase Sprint (1200m).

One of the highlights of Sunday will be a Fashions on the Field as well as children's entertainment with entry $15, pensioners $10 and under 18 free.

Sapphire Coast Turf Club will also have free buses to and from the track, with pick-ups at Bega, Tathra, Eden, Pambula, Merimbula and Tura Beach.
