Vale Mr Clive Dixon

Retired racehorse trainer Clive Dixon sadly passed away on Saturday, 20 January 2018 at the age of 87.

Clive is best-known as the trainer of many top-flight gallopers including Another Drive, Noteman, Magucy, Amaretto, Time Exposure, Staragene, Tar Prince and Kerei.

Clive is survived by his wife Ivy, son Robert, and daughters Peta, Tracey and Maryanne, eldest brother Syd (97) and second-youngest sister Marie (85), as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Clive was born in Inverell in 1930 and he and Ivy later lived in Moree, Glen Innes and Grafton, where he retired.

Clive’s funeral will be conducted at Christ Church Anglican Cathedral on the corner of Duke and Victoria Streets in Grafton on Thursday, 25 January 2018 at 10:30am followed by a wake at Grafton District Services Club from midday. - Bill Poulos
