TAB Announced As Naming Rights Sponsor For Australia's Richest Race - The Everest

With less than two months to go, TAB has today been announced as the naming rights sponsor for Australia’s richest race and the world’s richest turf race – The TAB Everest.

The announcement continues TAB’s strong involvement and commitment to the race, with TAB also the naming rights sponsor in 2017.

TAB will be represented in the race itself, with Group 1 winner In Her Time to fill TAB’s slot and compete for a slice of $13 million in prize money.

“We were already extremely excited about The TAB Everest and following today’s announcement we now well and truly can’t wait for the race,” Tabcorp’s Managing Director Wagering and Media, Adam Rytenskild said.

“We have been right behind the concept of The TAB Everest since the beginning and after the success of last year, we are looking forward to taking our punters on the TAB Everest journey and working with all stakeholders to make 2018’s race even bigger.”

“Again it's only just that Australia’s biggest wagering operator and largest contributor to racing is the sponsor of Australia’s richest race,” Racing NSW CEO Peter V’landys AM said.

The TAB Everest will be held at Royal Randwick on Saturday, 13 October with twelve horses competing for $13 million in prizemoney.
