Jockey James McDonald Has Been Re-Licensed

Members of the Racing NSW Licensing Committee this week interviewed jockey James McDonald, after receiving an application for re-licensing at the expiration of his period of disqualification on 15 May 2018.

Racing NSW Chief Executive, Mr Peter V’landys AM, has agreed with a recommendation from the Licensing Committee that James McDonald be issued with a licence to ride in races on 15 May 2018.

Further, James McDonald has been permitted to resume riding trackwork and in barrier trials from Tuesday, 3 April 2018, so as to allow him to transition back into race riding.
