Find out what the jockeys made of their horses’ runs in the Group 1 Vinery Stud Stakes Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Michael Dee (Hiyaam): “Credit to the filly. Last prep I was riding her a bit too pretty. Today there was no speed in the race so from the one pole we just elected to roll forward and dictate terms. She was way too good in the end.
“This is right up there, it’s my third Group 1 now but that’s my favourite one winning for my old boss and master Mick Price. He’s given me a lot of support since I came over here so big thanks to him.
“No worries at all (at the trip). Even after the line. I was still humming down the side. Bring on the Oaks that is for sure. If she can get the run lead and run in the Oaks she will be hard to beat that is for sure.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Unforgotten): “Huge run. We just got shuffled back about the 1000m. Had to make a widish run into it but hit the line full of running. Made a good attempt to try to run down the leader but it had too much break on me. You’d think she’s going to be hard to beat in the Oaks.”
Mark Zahra (Aloisia): “She ran super. Just didn’t want to go back to last, she’s been doing that too much. So we took up a spot, she was wide all the way and ran super. She’ll be hard to beat in the Oaks.”
Brenton Avdulla (Alizee): “Tried hard, just didn’t get the trip.”
Luke Currie (Bring Me Roses): “She was disappointing.”
Christian Reith (Torvill): “From that draw it was always going to be difficult. She relaxed good enough to finish off today, I thought following Unforgotten she was entitled to finish off a bit stronger.”
Damien Oliver (Rimraam): “A little disappointing today. I think she probably wants the blinkers off at that trip and I think I probably prefer her around 1400m to a mile.”
Michael Walker (Danzdanzdance): “Good run. She’ll improve. I reckon she’ll be right in the Oaks.”
Tye Angland (All Too Soon): “I had to pull her out of the race. She didn’t respond to my riding and I wasn’t happy with the way she was going. When I grabbed hold she shut down very quick so there might be something wrong.”
Craig Williams (Semari): “I thought she gave herself a lovely chance from the barrier draw. First time up to that grade, I think she’ll derive a lot from it but she’s a fair way off these horses.”
Tim Clark (Miss Admiration): “She ran home okay. She can definitely run the Oaks trip and probably a top six chance in it.”
