Update at 11:05am on Tuesday (26th Sept)
Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian, Dr Craig Suann, has advised that his inspection of Egg Tart has found the mare to have a painful eye irritation to its near side eye.
Dr Suann advised that as the irritation presents at this time the mare is not suitable to race this Saturday and accordingly would require further improvement to take its place in the TAB Epsom. Dr Suann shall inspect Egg Tart again tomorrow to monitor its progress.

Trainer Chris Waller reported to Racing NSW Stewards this morning that Egg Tart has developed an eye irritation to the near side eye since it’s last start in the Theo Marks Stakes at Rosehill on 9 September 2017.
Mr Waller advised the mare has been treated with anti-inflammatories and antibiotics and has responded well to the treatment. Egg Tart has been examined by an Equine Eye Specialist and his stable veterinarian who both have passed the mare fit to start in this Saturday’s TAB Epsom Handicap.
Mr Waller has further advised the mare has not missed any work and has pleased the stable in recent gallops at Rosehill on 23 September 2017 and this morning at Rosehill where Egg Tart galloped with Foxplay over 1000m.
