2. Lego Master has only had three starts and was close-up when unplaced at Orange on debut. He has since run well in both subsequent runs with a third at Nowra being followed by a last start second at Goulburn. He is knocking on the door for a win in this and gets his chance. 1. Artie Steamer has also had three starts and ran his best race yet when a last start second at Newcastle when racing on the speed and fighting on well. He is worth another chance here. 4. Disgruntled has finished fourth at Taree and Dubbo in each of her two starts and another solid display is on the cards. 8. So Superior is fresh for this having not started since finishing fourth at Canberra at the end of November. He ran second in a recent Warwick Farm trial to be readied for this.

2. Astronomix had a number of barrier trials before debuting on the Kensington track at Randwick two weeks ago and scoring an easy win in maiden grade. He’s drawn well in this event and looks well up to going on with the job. 5. Ferinzo performed well in his first two starts at Grafton in July of 2024 when finishing second on debut before winning at his second start. He resumed after a lengthy spell on the back of two trials to score an easy win on the Beaumont track at Newcastle. He looks talented. 7. Exfortythree debuted in good style with an impressive Kembla Grange victory. He stepped up in class for his second start at Rosehill and blew his chances with a bad start. This looks more suitable. 9. Transgress has only had two starts for a win and a down the track effort and resumes here after two trials. He bears close watching.
