1. FLYING GREY ($26 on TAB) is a member of the form stable of Brad Widdup and had two barrier trials before making his debut with a close-up fourth at Bathurst when beaten less than a length. He steps up quickly to the 1600m in this event and only needs even luck in running in order to be a threat. 2. Velia ($2.40 equal favourite) is a former Victorian that had solid form down south before joining a new stable and finishing fourth at Kembla Grange last time out when resuming from a spell. She should have derived benefit from that performance and can make an impact here. 3. Babyfaced Assassin ($9) had been racing well with two straight placings at Goulburn and Hawkesbury before bombing the start when a last start seventh at Canterbury. He is set to atone in this. 6. O Cara Mia ($2.40 eq fav) is first-up from a spell here and has been placed in three of eight starts.

Race 2 - 4:15PM NOVACOAST SERVICES CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1200M)

5. DARING FELLOW ($1.45 fav) had performed well in barrier trials before making his debut in a Wyong maiden last month and getting to the line well to score an impressive win. The extra 200m of this event should suit and Tommy Berry takes the ride from an ideal barrier in gate two. 6. Diacon ($3.80) ran fourth at this track on debut before scoring here last time out in good style. There’s no reason she can’t go on with the job on the strength of the latest effort. 2. Wizards ($10) was a winner at Hawkesbury at his second race start in March of last year and he resumed from a spell for a new stable with a second at Newcastle. He resumes again here after a barrier trial and should be primed to run well. 4. Yes Siree ($11) won on debut and has since finished fourth in three subsequent starts either side of a spell. He shouldn’t be taken lightly.
How to play it: Daring Fellow WIN
Race 3 - 4:50PM NATALIE SAX @ BELLE OF THE TURF 28 DEC MIDWAY BM 64 (1000M)
---
7. STORMFIELD ($4.60) was an Orange maiden winner back in November of 2024 and wasn’t beaten far in two subsequent starts after that before being spelled. He’s resuming from a spell here on the back of two barrier trial wins at Warwick Farm and a bold fresh showing is on the cards. 1. Detendu ($4.20 fav) has had two starts back from a spell and finished third in each of them at Hawkesbury and then this track. He’s racing well enough to give this a shake and should play a prominent role in the finish. 2. Oceans One ($8) impressed when second-up from a spell and winning in good style at Wyong. He followed that up with another solid effort when finishing third at Wyong behind Bremel and should be thereabouts again. 4. Il Passero ($8.50) is resuming from a spell here and has shown some talent with two wins and two minor placings from eight starts.
How to play it: Stormfield WIN.
Race 4 - 5:30PM AIDACARE SUPER MAIDEN PLATE (1200M)
---
13. SEQUISTA ($2.70 eq fav) showed plenty of ability as a two-year-old and finished fourth in the Percy Sykes Stakes after a third in the Inglis Nursery. She resumed with a solid second at Wyong when hitting the line well and with the benefit of improvement she can go one better and break through with a maiden win here. 12. Pyrolysis ($2.70 eq fav) has been placed in each of her three starts and has finished second in city grade races at Warwick Farm and Canterbury after leading in both latest starts either side of a spell. She’s a chance if she can overcome the bad alley. 8. The Little General ($8.50) led and gave cheek when a resuming second at this track and can give a sight, while 5. Harry’s Halo ($4.60) has been racing well.
How to play it: Sequista WIN
Race 5 - 6:00PM LOGIC JOINERY CONDITIONAL BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP (1100M)

4. ORYX ($2.50 fav) was first-up from a spell when hitting the line well to score a win at this track last month. He should be suited by a good speed again here and can go on with the job. 6. Speedy Henry ($4.40) has shown talent with three wins from six starts and can show up again fresh. 1. Inoue ($5.50) won at Hawkesbury before not being disgraced at Canterbury. 2. Zoe Shark ($10) has been racing well and should get into the minor money again in this.
How to play it: Oryx WIN
Race 6 - 6:30PM NCIS SYDNEY BENCHMARK 64 HANDICAP (1600M)
---
5. UPWARDLY MOBILE ($3.50 fav) is a progressive mare with four wins to her name and another two minor placings from 14 starts. She was a Scone winner back in August then ran well when just behind the placings in three Highway events before breaking through again with a last start Highway win at Newcastle. There’s no reason she can’t go on with the job here. 7. Cigar Man ($5.50) was a maiden winner at Wyong three starts ago and has since finished fourth at Hawkesbury and Newcastle in two runs either side of a spell. He shouldn’t be underestimated. 5. Lunar Lover ($8.50) is adept over longer distances but is poised to sprint well fresh in this resuming run after two recent barrier trials. 9. Off The Scale ($3.90) is a talented mate at her best and was midfield in the Newcastle Highway at Newcastle behind Upwardly Mobile when last produced.
How to play it: Upwardly Mobile WIN
