2. Seeiaye did a lot of work up on the speed and was left a sitting shot for Omolong in what was a game second a couple of weeks back. He’ll go forward again and if he’s allowed to get comfortable likely takes even more running down this time.

Dangers: 5. Forest King surprised when winning on debut at Canterbury back in February then didn’t feature in the Pago Pago. Comes through some trials that have produced good form and could show up. 8. Gatineau made good late ground on debut behind Omolong and with the scratchings his task from the barrier is aided. Improver. 1. Internal Affairs got on the board first-up on his home track and showed enough in his first prep to suggest he has upside if he handles the ground.

14. Embrace The Wind looks a lot better suited second-up back in Midway company after what was an excellent return. It was the day you needed to be close to the inside and he was back off a wide gate and made a heap of late ground down the middle. Completely different set up from an inside gate and up in trip. Good chance.

Dangers: 13. Myriad hit the front in the Midway two weeks ago and perhaps it was a touch too soon as he was reeled back in. Gets back here from the gate and should be running on strongly. 19. Rolling Magic has a handy first-up record and handles the ground, in a field that's fallen away he's a chance fresh. 18. Apache Breeze settled last from a wide alley when resuming and made ground. Extra 100m a plus and he's an each-way chance.

16. Dividends Paid has found a wide open Class 2 to make his Highway debut and he’s looked the goods in two wins over short courses at Coffs Harbour and Grafton. Obviously tougher here, but he makes his own luck up on speed and looks to be trialling well. Drawn to play to his strengths and interesting to see how he measures up.

Dangers: 12. Kakoda is lightly raced as well and followed a solid Tamworth win with a near miss at Scone last week. Knows how to find the line and is a major player. 15. The Main Event ran very well a huge odds in a Highway back in February behind Rose Aye who won by a big margin. He’ll get back and hit the line and if they are able to run on it wouldn’t surprise if he landed in a place. 7. Dawn On Me led all the way at the Sapphire Coast just over a month ago in a Class 3 and while that track can advantage on pacers she put a good gap in her rivals. Could give a sight.

9. Cheval De Bois rallied strongly after looking beaten second-up at Kensington to go down in a close finish. Gets a weight advantage over the winner and draws to track what should be a genuine enough tempo. No reason he won’t continue to improve and be hard to beat.

Dangers: 8. Attractiveness probably has to concede ground from the outside barrier but if they are running on she’s getting close to a city win. Bumped into a smart one two weeks ago but was finishing off her race well and the trip should suit. 1. Ballpark has found winning form leading at his past two and he just lasted when downing Cheval De Bois a couple of weeks ago. Hard to knock as he’ll be in the firing line. 10. Viva Mauricio comes off a maiden win but a strong one at that and strikes an open race.

14. Le Troisir can still be rated an up and coming stayer with just 14 starts to his name and he was easily the best from the back over the 2000m two weeks ago. He was a winner at 2200m so the extra ground shouldn’t be an issue. Happy to forgive his only run at the trip to date. Gets his chance to emerge.

Dangers: 7. Golden Century has been threatening and he wasn’t far off Le Troisir in the same race after finding himself back near last on the turn. If he can make some use of a kind gate he has the ability to be a major presence. 9. Cormac T gave an excellent sight up front in the same event leading and fighting on hard behind Anythink Goes. He has won at the trip and while his form is a bit up and down if he can hold it this time he can run well. 11. Deal N’ Dash backs up after making some ground in testing conditions at Randwick last week. Jumps quickly to the staying trip and might well start to live up to some early promise.

How To Play It: Le Troisir WIN ($4.80 TAB Fixed Odds).

3. Sword Of Legacy brings some different form into what looks a nice race for a filly still on the up. Forgive her run at stakes level two starts back off the wide gate, she was a solid favourite last time and proved far too good against her own age. Nash rode her there, she draws to effect and looks hard to beat.

Dangers: 2. Ticklebelly is such an honest on pacer and she went down fighting behind Bella Corazon at 1300m a month ago. No harder here and if she gets any favours she should be very competitive again. 6. Super Bright scored a surprise win on a heavy track two starts ago against some of these but didn't back it up on better ground last time. Conditions might bring her into it at odds. 4. Couples Retreat was a heavy track winner at Rosehill three runs back, fair the last couple but in the mix.

How To Play It: Sword Of Legacy WIN ($2.25 TAB Fixed Odds).

4. Roselyn’s Star is a last start Group 3 winner and with the early favourite out of the way it boosts his hopes of a first-up win. He looks to be trialling really well and is effective in all conditions. Good chance to strike.

Dangers: 2. Way To The Stars has been freshened up since the Takeover Target at Gosford where he led and ran a handy third. Capable type and is a definite chance. 1. Dragonstone has had a freshen since failing at Flemington a month ago. He loves a wet track, showed a glimpse of form in the Bob Charley first-up and has a hope. 3. Aviatress is an interesting runner having her first start for the new stable. Has solid stakes form around her and any support is significant.

How To Play It: Roselyn's Star WIN ($2.60 TAB Fixed Odds).

3. Dark Glitter put it all together when she stormed down the outside to run down Smashing Time in this grade last start. Both her runs since coming out of Group company have been strong, you know she has that big finish on her when she sees daylight and she could back it up.

Dangers: 10. Midnight Opal is consistent as ever and stayed on okay behind Dark Glitter last time out. Always an each-way chance and a wet track is a boost. 9. Gatsby's has been helped a bit by scratchings and he had support behind Dark Glitter when resuming with a close up fourth. Fitter and has a show. 7. Elouyou is a proven wet tracker who has had success at Rosehill previously. Couple of recent heavy track placings in Melbourne and worth including.

How To Play It: Dark Glitter EACH-WAY ($6.00 TAB Fixed Odds).

8. Midnight Dynamite found himself way too far back and with too much to do for a horse of his style in the Winter Stakes so it was a commendable effort to run third there. He sat much closer to the speed when he raced away with the Civic Stakes and it’d be a shock if he’s not looking for a similar spot in the run here. Must give him another chance.

Dangers: 2. General Salute had things go his way in the Winter Stakes and he capitalised with what was a strong win. Up 2kg and not as well drawn but the major speed is right outside him. Hard to ignore. 10. McHale faces giving away a start from the wide gate but he’ll be running on as he did when chasing General Salute last time. 4. Just Folk was game third-up at Flemington and looks at his top now, and loves the wet. As does 3. War Eternal who is in excellent form and can't be left out.

How To Play It: Midnight Dynamite WIN ($2.70 TAB Fixed Odds).

13. Snack Bar is a little maligned but you can’t ignore his huge run when third in a similar race a few weeks ago. You needed to be near the fence and he was three and four deep without cover. He loomed up but couldn’t sustain it in the quicksand. Runner-up has since won. Gets a smothering draw which suits his style and he’s a contender.

Dangers: 12. Columbia Blue was a little unlucky not to win first-up when touched out by Polyglot two weeks ago. That was 1100m and he had the outside gate, which he’s faced with again here. Any luck, or a track pattern that assists, and he could go one better. 16. Silencio Porfavor is up in class but brings a dominant Newcastle win into this race and while there’s more depth he’s drawn well and might have the confidence up now. 6. Stardeel is unbeaten on heavy ground including a first-up win and could rebound back onto those conditions.
