Tommy Berry (Shraddha): “She has been a bit of a ‘madam’ at home, she has been a bit of a handful. So full credit to Michael and his staff for the work they have done with her.

“When I rode her in a jump-out, she gave me a really good feel and then she improved again into her barrier trial.

“There wasn’t much of a gap there at the top of the straight but she put herself into it and won with authority. I know what she is like at home, she can do a left or right turn on you so I think I grabbed hold of her late before she did it.

“She hit the front at the 300m and had her ears pricked the whole way down the straight. When the opposition gets better she will get better. I know Michael has a lot of time for her so we might not see her for a while.’’

Shraddha wins the Gimcrack Stakes

Reece Jones (I'm Admired): “She was superb. Very tricky draw from the start. Today was a lot to do with helping educate her. Still very raw but keeping her on the bridle and working through her gears really paid dividends.”

Kerrin McEvoy (She's Supreme): “Good run. She will improve.”

Sam Clipperton (Aniston): “She handled the occasion well. Just a bit too soon for her.”

Tim Clark (Bourbon Beat): “Had a wide run on speed. Probably come to the end of her prep.”

Nash Rawiller (Enfield): “She is a nice filly. Probably have a break now. She will come back bigger and stronger.”

Alysha Collett (Farnans Sweetheart): “Showed good gate speed. Just a little bit new. Thought it was a great run.”

Regan Bayliss (Outback Affair): “They will have some fun with her.”

Zac Lloyd (Provata): “She ran well. A very sweet filly. She will be better over further.”

Jason Collett (Rhythm): “Didn’t handle the occasion at all. Over-raced.”

Rachel King (Runaway Diva): “Really pleasing first run. She will be a really nice horse next prep.”

Andrew Adkins (Shezablaze): “Good effort. She got into a good possie. Travelled up great. Thought was running a good second. Tired the last 50m.”
