Buffalo, trained by David Atkins, was inspected by Racing NSW veterinarians and Stewards and found to be lame in the off foreleg.
Mr Atkins advised that he would have the farrier attend to Buffalo with the horse then being subject to a further veterinary examination by Racing NSW Veterinary Officers on Friday (10 April) to determine its suitability to compete in the Provincial-Midway Championships Final at Royal Randwick on Saturday.
Oakfield Saturn, trained by Damien Lane, was inspected by Racing NSW veterinarians and Stewards and found to be lame in the near foreleg.
Mr Lane advised that the farrier had refitted the plate to the near fore hoof and he was satisfied with how the horse presented.
Oakfield Saturn will also be subject to a further veterinary examination by Racing NSW Veterinary Officers on Friday to determine its suitability to compete in the Provincial-Midway Championships Final at Royal Randwick on Saturday.
