Memorial Raceday At Cessnock Racecourse (Monday 5th June)

Wine Country Race Club will be hosting a Memorial Day on Monday (5th June) at Cessnock Racecourse to honour the contribution of seven men who have shaped the landscape of racing in the area.

Those recognised include former administrators John Cleaves, Jack Hibberd, Peter O’Neill and Bill Brown, together with former trainer Arthur Thompson, former jockey Sam Unwin and former bookmaker Harold Sternbeck.

Relatives and friends of the gentlemen mentioned are invited to a luncheon held on the day at Cessnock Racecourse.
