Gytrash launched late to beat Haut Brion Her in the $1m Yes Yes Yes Stakes (1300m), collecting the $750,000 bonus having run in The TAB Everest a fortnight earlier.
Jason Collett (Gytrash): “We were really confident coming into today. Even from the barrier draw it was not a bad thing in a way, and when the track played as well as it has for a heavy track, I was really happy.”
“He came through that last run unbelievably well for a horse that was going in of five or six weeks fresh training regime into a hard run 1200m and he bounced back unbelievably well. He galloped on the Friday six days later and I was really happy. It’s a really good end to the campaign.”

Sam Clipperton (Mister Sea Wolf): “Good run. He’s definitely on track for his next start.”
Nash Rawiller (Eduardo): “He’s great. Man Of Peace would have driven him mad so I let him go. Might have gone a length too slow for me. He fought on really well.”
Kathy O'Hara (Imaging): “Terrific effort from him. He flashed home late from back. Might be better suited to those slightly shorter distances.”
Jay Ford (Star Of The Seas): “Run was super. Two weeks ago he ran over 10 furlongs. Just lacked the tactical speed early to find a position. Very happy the way he found the line.”
Rachel King (Deprive): “Not himself at all today. Not sure what is up with him.”
Louise Day (Man Of Peace): “Huge run. Only got beaten a couple of lengths very tough.”
Josh Parr (Prime Candidate): “Very disappointing actually but the conditions didn’t suit.”
Brenton Avdulla (Haut Brion Her): “She went huge. Just got beaten by a good horse on the day.”
