Warwick Farm horseman Joseph Pride will rely on the strength of Godolphin to spearhead a three-pronged attack on Sunday’s Wyong meeting.
Pride only had a quiet day at Rosehill on Saturday with two runners, including Anthracite which finished second.
His best chance at Wyong appears to be in the shape of the resuming mare Maluku, which will be ridden by Sam Clipperton in the NBN News Benchmark 64 Handicap (1100m).

Maluku is an Extreme Choice four-year-old that had two starts earlier in the year for a debut victory at Wyong, before backing it up with a second start win at Gosford.
“She’s a really nice mare that trialled well before kicking off her career in winning form in March,” said Pride.
“Sam [Clipperton] was in the saddle in that Wyong win and again when she backed up to score at Gosford at her only other start.
“She’s had the two trials with Sam aboard to get ready for her return to racing and she’s ticking over nicely. It will be good to have her back in action.”
Pride will produce another Godolphin runner when Eterlou debuts in the Five Star Day Spa 3YO Maiden Plate (1200m) with Adam Hyeronimus taking the ride.
A three-year-old by Microphone, Eterlou has had four trials in total in preparation for his Wyong kick-off.
“He had the two trials earlier in the year and he’s had another two this campaign and won the latest of them at Warwick Farm,” Pride said.
“He’s come back in good shape this preparation and I’m expecting him to run a good race from the inside barrier.”
Pride’s other runner at Wyong will also be ridden by Clipperton with Alabama Showdown lining up in the Sharp DS Central Coast Maiden Plate (1000m).
Alabama Showdown had two starts at Kembla Grange in February and March and finished fourth and third respectively in those events.
“He’s resuming from a spell at Wyong and has had a couple of trials to get ready,” Pride said of Alabama Showdown.
“He’s drawn awkwardly but has the ability to overcome that and be hard to beat.”
