Gosford-trained four-year-old Zoffany’s Lad can atone for his close second on his home track last start when he contests the Event Cinemas Tuggerah Conditional Provincial Cup (1600m) at Wyong on Thursday.

Zoffany’s Lad performed well in Provincial Championship Qualifiers at Newcastle and Kembla before his gallant second at Gosford on April 4. Regular rider Ben Looker will travel from Port Macquarie to ride the gelding.

Another Gosford galloper Wild About Her turned in an eye-catching performance first-up and the longer trip is ideal. Coffs Harbour galloper Evopex is capable of a bold showing.

Lashes is first up on the back of a recent Warwick Farm trial win. Before a spell the filly won races at Warwick Farm and Hawkesbury and she beat a very smart one Kylease last prep. Happy Bubbles finished last first up but he didn’t pull up too well. Power Rush has a good record with two wins and three placings from six starts.

RACE 2 - POLYTRACK 3YO MAIDEN PLATE, 1000M
Power Lift has been trialling well and he recently won a Newcastle trial. Corey Brown rides for Kris Lees and he is ready to win after two recent trials. So Yummy is another on debut after leading all the way to win a Warwick Farm trial then finishing second in a Randwick trial. Satirical Knight is first up after a Randwick trial win.

RACE 3 - GO ELECTRICAL TUGGERAH MAIDEN, 1200M
Impurity has been placed in eight of his 16 starts and this is a winnable race for the mare. She has been runner up in all three starts on this track and she has the rails barrier. Impurity likes to race off the speed. Right Bower is on debut after a nice trial while Arboreal kept closing in a recent trial.

RACE 4 - BLITZ HOMES MAIDEN, 1600M
Costas has had a freshen up after a close third at Hawkesbury five weeks ago. He has been placed in three of his five starts including placings at Canterbury and on The Kensington track. He normally gets back but he is strong over 1600. Well Decorated has had a frustrating run of four seconds and he should have a nice run from the rails barrier. Guest has good form on the Northern Rivers and he has a chance.

RACE 5 - RUSSELL MAY “SPIDER” MEMORIAL MAIDEN, 1350M
Dubai Harbour won two Randwick trials before striking a wet track at Hawkesbury first up. He will be more at home over the longer trip and he may attempt an all way win. Braidwood Gold led last start on this track when third and she has a chance. Romalette can improve in this field.

RACE 6 - TWIN LAKES AIR & SOLAR BENCHMARK 64, 1350M
High Rush is good value and she is a front-runner. She led all the way first-up at Scone and if she gets a soft lead will prove difficult to run down. The in-form Samantha Clenton is aboard and High Rush has raced well on this track in the past. Mo The Great won a recent trial and he races well on his home track. Showminder has been well backed and he had good form last prep.

RACE 7 - EVENT CINEMAS TUGGERAH CONDITIONAL PROVINCIAL CUP, 1600M
Zoffany’s Lad won four ‘on the trot’ last prep and he has had three starts this time in. He finished midfield in the Provincial Qualifiers at Newcastle and Kembla before a solid second at Gosford last start. He is ready to win. Wild About Her was very good first up and she will relish the 1600. Evopex has drawn the rails and is ready to fire after two recent starts.

RACE 8 - CARLTON DRAUGHT BENCHMARK 64, 2100M
Diamond Star Halo returned to form with an easy all the way win at Gosford last start. She will carry less weight than last start after the apprentices claim and expect her to lead from barrier one. Etheridge drops in class after contesting the Adrian Knox and Nothing Too Hard has a chance.
