Team Thoroughbred NSW Training Academy is proud to be involved as a gold sponsor of this Saturday’s Scone Horse Festival Equine Extravaganza at White Park.

Team Thoroughbred NSW Training Academy's Equine Extravaganza is a showcase of the best local talent from the Upper Hunter in a three-hour program at White Park indoor arena (2-5pm).

The program is made up of 15-minute to 20-minute performances providing entertainment with demonstrations and equine performances that will highlight the diverse talent and horsemanship that is in abundance around the area.

"We’re thrilled to be part of this year’s festival, celebrating the theme 'Breeding Brilliance'," explained Adrian Teitzel, Executive Officer of Racing NSW's Team Thoroughbred NSW Training Academy.

"It's a tribute to the passion, dedication and world-class excellence that define Scone as the Horse Capital of Australia.

"From champion thoroughbreds to a strong, connected community, the festival showcases the people, horses and stories that make the Upper Hunter so special."

Across 10 days from 8–17 May, visitors can enjoy a vibrant program including the street parade, stud tours, farrier demonstrations, Horses & High Tea, fireworks and the iconic Scone Cup Racing Carnival.

"We’re looking forward to seeing it all come to life at Saturday’s showcase event, featuring local equine talent and engaging demonstrations," said Mr Teitzel.

"This weekend also builds momentum toward our Racing Industry Showcase Day on Friday May 15 at Scone Race Club.

"Designed as a hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience, the Showcase Day offers a deeper look into career pathways across the racing and equine industry.

"From practical demonstrations to industry insights, it’s the perfect next step for those inspired by the festival.

SUCCESSFUL CAREERS DAY AT BATHURST

Last Friday (1 May) Team Thoroughbred NSW Training Academy presented a range of educational and career pathways to school students from across the Central West at the Facts About Careers & Tertiary Studies (FACTS) Day.

"The day was held at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst and was very successful with attendees visiting our stall in the Rafters Building to learn more about the opportunities available," said Racing NSW's Phillip O'Brien [pictured].
