Injured Trainer Update - Melanie Bolwell (Tamworth, 22 Oct)

Racehorse trainer Melanie Bolwell was admitted to hospital after injuring herself at Tamworth on Tuesday, 22nd October 2019. Following morning trackwork, Melanie was leading a horse home when it became fractious and reared over on top of her.

Racing NSW's Dr Duckworth reported that she has a fractured ankle that needs surgery and a fractured pelvis that will be treated with analgesia and rest.

[Update on Tuesday 29th October]: Dr. Duckworth reports that Melanie is seeing Dr Wines in Sydney tomorrow for her ankle and depending on what he says, she may have surgery that afternoon. Her fractured pelvis doesn't require surgery.
