Stewards Issue Charge Against Licensed Stable Hand Mr Brian Carey
On 20 January 2026, Racing NSW Stewards issued a charge against licensed stable hand Mr Brian Carey following an investigation conducted by the Racing NSW Integrity Unit.
The charge was issued pursuant to LR114(2)(a) and relates to the care and welfare of the thoroughbred horse City Limits.
On 21 January 2026, after inviting and considering submissions received from Mr Carey, Stewards suspended his licence under AR23 pending the hearing and determination of the charge.
The matter is scheduled for hearing at Racing NSW Head Office on 11 February 2026.
As the matter is ongoing, Racing NSW will not be making any further comment.
