Courtney Van Der Werf has celebrated her first Rising Star win for the season, taking out heat 24 at Dubbo.

Van Der Werf scored aboard the Cameron Crockett-trained Artistic Beauty which proved too strong for its rivals.

Weir (31 points) heads into the final heat of the Rising Star only 1 point behind series leader, Andrew Adkins (32).
