Racing NSW is the representative body appointed for leadership and regulation of the thoroughbred horse racing throughout NSW. Racing NSW is inviting applications for the position of Official Raceday Judge within the Northern Rivers Racing Association.
The primary responsibility of the Official Raceday Judge is the accurate placement of horses in their finishing position past the winning post and making such information available to the public in a timely manner.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills:-
• Attention to detail
• Sound memory and concentration
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Computer and internet literacy
• Genuine interest in horse racing
The Official Raceday Judge is a casual position that requires, on average, two days service a week. Such commitments being on irregular days, including weekends, at varying racetracks within the jurisdiction. As such the successful applicant will require flexible personal commitments to accommodate the role.
As this is an integrity-based role, any potential applicant will be required to disclose any conflict of interest, perceived or otherwise, with industry participants. The successful applicant will undergo a probity check.
