Gosford To Host $1.4m Central Coast Carnival

The Entertainment Grounds is excited to announce a new initiative for its 2017/18 racing calendar - the Central Coast Carnival.

It will replace the current ‘Summer Series’ format and boasts an impressive $1.4m in prizemoney.

The Central Coast Carnival will begin with the Group 3 Belle Of The Turf Stakes on Thursday, 28th December 2017, continue with the Listed Takeover Target Stakes on Thursday, 11th January 2018 and conclude with the Listed Gosford Gold Cup and Gosford Guineas on Thursday, 18th January 2018.

Each day will be supported by a thrilling card of races including the Cusick Class Series. The Class 2 and 3 Preludes are worth $45,000 each and the winners will be ballot exempt from the Class 4 $60,000 MJ Cusick Stakes (1200m) on Gosford Gold Cup Day.
