Registrar of Racehorses - Introduction of the Thoroughbred Identification Card on 1st January 2005 (for 2003 Foal crop).

The Australian Stud Book has ceased production of the Document of Description commencing with the 2003 foal crop. These horses, which are microchipped as an additional form of identification, will turn 2YO on 1 August 2005.

In preparation for the change, the Registrar of Racehorses has commenced production of the Thoroughbred Identification Card, for issue from 1 January 2005.
