Guide to Racing NSW Website Changes
Have you noticed something different about the website?
After conducting a survey in 2012, we've made some changes to make the site more user-friendly. Rest assured that all of the old features and pages are still available on the upgraded website
What Has Changed?
One obvious change is the new menu at the top of the website. This menu includes all the previous information available on the website in a more user friendly format.
Each menu has a ‘Drop Down’ function, allowing you to easily search what you’re looking for. Simply hover over the menu for the drop down selections.
If you prefer not to use the drop down function, you can also click on the menu button for a landing page (as per the previous website format)
We have included a new search function on the homepage. The individual searches already existed but are now all together in a handy search box.Search Tips:
Ensure that you spell the horse/trainer/jockey name in full and correctly to obtain results. Trainers and jockeys are listed by their ‘preferred’ name (as in the racebook) for example;
- To search for trainer Ron Quinton use RON QUINTON, not RONALD QUINTON, R QUINTON or QUINTON
- To search for jockey Tommy Berry use TOMMY BERRY, not TOM BERRY, T BERRY or BERRY
The ‘Horse Name’ search is an exception to the above rules, as users can search names or partial names to check availability and ownership (as per the current ‘Horse Name/Owner Search’)
There is a new footer menu on every page to help you quickly find what you’re looking for. If there is something you would like to see added to this ‘Quick Links’ section feel free to email us at email@example.com
We hope that our upgrade allows you to more easily navigate the Racing NSW website.
If you do have any feedback or suggestions on how we might further improve the website, or if you find a function is missing or not working correctly, we welcome all feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org
