April 2016 Racing Highlights

April is the month to see the best horse flesh getting around:

RATS Apr

The jewel in the crown of Sydney racing, the biggest event on the Sydney Racing calendar is The Championships. Held in April over 2 stunning Saturdays, The Championships in 2015 boasted 12 Championship races and offered over $20m in prizemoney. In 2016 and beyond the event is set to attract worldwide attention, drawing the best horses from Australian and beyond.

Hawkesbury’s highly successful ‘Stand Alone’ meeting is staged in April, meaning the track is granted ‘metropolitan’ status for the day. Hosting 3 major races including the Hawkesbury Guineas, Rowley Mile and Darley Crown, all of the best city trainers and jockeys make tracks to Hawkesbury and take ‘racing back to its roots’.
