The Stewards today conducted an inquiry into an incident which occurred at a Hotel in Scone following the conduct of the Scone race meeting of Saturday 19th May 2012, when evidence was taken from Licensed Trainers Mr Tim Martin and Mr Gary Portelli. A transcribed interview with Licensed Trainer Mr Stephen Farley was also entered into evidence.

Mr Martin pleaded guilty to a charge of improper conduct under AR175(q) and was fined $400.

A hearing of a similar charge of improper conduct issued against Mr Portelli was adjourned at Mr Portelli’s request to allow him to call witnesses on his own behalf.

Mr Martin was advised of his rights of appeal.
